As the autumn nights grow more dense
I am urged to wander and wonder
For the miles of frigid black silence

To rest beneath the death-ravaged trees
On a moonlit isle
Amid the seas of the snarling unknown

These nights will bleed into winter
And fuel a most nightmarish swell
That will drown the content

I will surely be left awash
On the broad shores of spring
To bask in the eternal summer’s rays
